Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, Diana meets an American pilot (Chris Pine) who tells her about the massive conflict that’s raging in the outside world. Convinced that she can stop the threat, Diana leaves her home for the first time. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.

My thoughts:

On the Animation: The animation was amazing. The island of the Amazons – Themyscira was amazing that I would want something like it. I like the fighting scene with its CGI effects. They were so action packed and that the power of the Amazons seemed so real.  Although there were dark parts in the movie..  the effects added more depth to the film. My favourite part would be the scene where all was silent and Steve was saying something to Diana. This part  made the parting of both characters dramatic. When Diana power upped the animation really enhanced the feeling that she really was in God mode. All in all, the CGI was amazing because it enhanced the movie and it did not over power it.

On the Story Plot: The story about Diana and how she would be able to save mankind using her powers. She was able to save mankind but struggled at first. This is because in her mind if she killed Aries she would be able to get rid of evil. However, evil is part of being human which Aries only amplified. However, she was able to accept this fact by realising that love could let her accept the faults of others. The movie showed that love could save the day. The story is set in the World War II. Women and men were not seen as equals in this time but Diana was able to gain the respect of men because of her strength and courage.

On the Characters: Diana is the princess from Themyscira who is the daughter of Zeus and Hippolyta. She is the only one who could kill Aries and her parents never told her. Aries is the God who fuels the war which is the major problem of Diana. Steve Trevor is the love interest of Diana who eventually died for a very good cause. He is the “average” looking guy. I just like that he acknowledges the strength of Diana. Some men would not mind her but he did. He was also a spy who was able to get the secret formula of a poisonous gas from Germany. These characters were the major players in the movie.  Gal Gadot as Diana I think was a good move for the movie. She was very beautiful and graceful yet strong at the same time. I just like that she gave acted her character with justice. Chris Pine as Steve Trevor was also a good choice. He had a boyish charm to him when he smiled. I like there conversations which were about sleeping, men and marriage. Both characters were witty and nonchalant when they are conversing with each other.

All in all: I love the movie. It reminded me that both men and women could be equals and they need each other to make life better. The movie was full of strong women in the aspects of physical, mental and emotion. Sometimes, separation  of women and men are made but if they don’t work with one another nothing improves. Pride and other vicious emotions make life toxic and it affects different relationship which result to misunderstandings or war. Although, the movie is about a powerful woman it should not be seen as a movie that is emasculating men. In this century, we need to be more open minded to women who could make a good difference to the world. I gave this movie a 4.5 hearts rating because its a movie which is very relevant in this era. Women empowerment is very strong that some fear them. However, Wonder Woman reminds us that anything done with the right reasons would really happen. Not because she is a super hero but because she has the need to help others. She is as an idealist but at least she helps improve the lives of people. This movie was not a 5 hearts rating because I just did not like how the romance part played out in the movie. Looking at the bright side at least Steve died doing something good.
