LIKENESS SCALE:❤❤❤❤

My thoughts:

On the Animation: A lot of CGI was used to make this movie. Their costumes were also awesome. Some say a lot of easter eggs could be found in Peter’s shirt. The CGI for this movie was amazing.. first few minutes in the movie and its full of CGI. Well, all of the parts of the movie has CGI and the quality is good. From end to finish everything looked super nice. I loved the effects the firework effects for Yondu’s funeral. Also, when his ashes were scattered in the universe, it had a colourful psychedelic effect which anyone can appreciate.

On the Story Plot: The story plot for this second movie was very predictable. Peter met his father and he suddenly knew his secret. The relationship between Rocket, Groot, Gamora, Peter and Drax grew more solid because of the trials which they are facing now.   They have met and lost new and old comrades. Yondu, who scarificed himself to save Peter was such an emotional scene for me. I was crying silently because of it. I am really a sucker for self sacrificing characters and Yondu was just the character who fit the bill. Despite, him bullying Peter, he showed his fatherly affection in a manly hard manner. However, deep inside he is the softy who would sacrifice his life for Peter. So there, at the end of the movie Yondu’s old comrades or friends unite with one another. Also, Adam  would show up on the third movie. Also, I would definitely miss Yondu with his special arrow skills but his arrow was given to his subordinate, so thats something to look forward to.

On the Characters: The movie still has the main characters. However, Gamora and Peter are having a more romantic connection now. Rocket is still a theif. Groot is slowly growing up. The young Groot was so cute. They all try to take care of him so that he would not get hurt. Drax is still the awkward yet funny guy, even if he doesn’t mean to be funny. Somehow, the gang seems to be more cohesive in team work, compared to the first movie. A lot of new characters were introduced and they could affect the third movie. The protagonist of the movie is Ugo who is the father of Peter. He is like the perfect father but this is all a facade because he needs Peter’s power to destroy the different universes. On the other hand, Yondu, may not seem like the perfect father but his affection is shown in a different way. The Mary pippins reference was cute too.

All in all: This movie was nice. I watched it with my sister in a cinema which had lazy boy seats. (yes..once in a while, I spoil myself). I can’t forget that I was silently crying after Yondu died. Also, when his colourful funeral was showing, I was still emotional. I give this movie a four hearts rating because it was good but the first movie was better for me. However, when it comes to the OST for both movies, I adore them both. In this movie the characters were more relatable, which I liked. Different relationships were shown and that family can be just a group of friends who decided to stick together through thick or thin. This reminds me of a saying that friends are the family which you have picked. All in all, it was a good movie but I wanted less drama so I was so shookt that Yondu died but still his death was not in vain because his old friends are connecting again.
