Natasha: I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story.

Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store—for both of us.

The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?

LIKENESS SCALE:❤❤❤❤ (4.5 hearts)

On the cover:   I love the cover. Its shiny and colourful. I also like the round drawings which were used as headers per chapter. The trade paperback edition is what I own. What I like with trade paper back edition is it is lighter than the hard back edition and you don’t need force to open it for better reading.

On the story plot:  The story plot is very nice. It’s a book which both hopeless romantics and sceptics of love can both relate too. Somehow, it was able to showcase both views. Personally, I think this book is what we need today. It is realistic yet magical at the same time. Love in different kinds makes this book magical. I believe that people can fall in love in a day when effort is made. However, when reality strikes other factors are considered like family, culture and others. Ideas of science and love are being compared, combined and tested in this story. I love how the author wrote the story. It is filled with different perspectives and when combined they create a unique and loveable story.

On the characters:  Natasha is a character which believes in plans, science and everything happens because its the effect. On the other hand, Daniel is a hopeless romantic who wants to become a poet. Basing on their character profiles they are not compatible but Daniel decides to get to know Natasha. This starts their one day of courting and dating because Natasha has to go back to Jamaica at the end of the day. They started  getting to know each other by exchanging opinions on science and love, bantering and cute mild flirting.

A list of questions (tested by scientists) which guarantee that they would be in love at the end of the day made them closer. Both characters have reasons to doubt their feelings for one each other but they just took the lounge and fell in love with one another. I admire this two character because it takes courage to fall in love considering their circumstances.

All in all: I simply loved this story. This book is very timely because its almost valentines day. It made me feel light, fluffy and happy. This stories just makes me believe that love connects everyone. It also reminds me that falling in love is a magical process. However, in the book it says that falling in love is due to some chemicals. So with that in mind, chemistry is like a magical process because its able to create special feelings. Anyways, the book is very special. Its ideas of science and love are tackled very well, that both sceptics of love and romantics can sympathise with one another after reading this story. I also love how the different decision affects the lives of the side characters. When you fall in love you have to make decisions which would affect other people. When you decide to thank someone you might be able to save his or her life. Not only does the story showcase love but life itself.

I gave this story a 4.5 hearts rating because the ending was okay but it did not satisfy my craving for the story. I love the characters too much for them to have that kind of ending. However, the beauty of an open closed ending is that I could fantasise their ending. They could either be friends or lovers. Anyways, I have no other complaints. I recommend this book to people who would want a fluffy, feel good read this valentines day. It is a book which would enlighten your thoughts about science and love. Also, it would remind you that there is always a good thing after a terrible storm.

In love, it’s the amount of time it takes for lovers to feel half of what they once did.
