SYNOPSIS FROM GOODREADS:
The classified experiment is the brainchild of renowned scientist Peter Whitney and his brilliant daughter, Lily. Created to enhance the psychic abilities of an elite squadron, it can transform their natural mental powers into a unique military weapon. But something goes wrong. In the isolated underground labs, the men have been dying-victims of bizarre accidents. Captain Ryland Miller knows he is next. When Dr. Whitney himself is murdered, Ryland has only one person left to trust: the beautiful Lily. Possessed of an uncanny sixth sense herself, Lily shares Ryland’s every new fear, every betrayal, every growing suspicion, and every passionate beat of the heart. Together, they will be drawn deeper into the labyrinth of her father’s past and closer to a secret that someone would kill to keep hidden.
LIKENESS SCALE: (4.5 hearts)
I just bought this book recently. It got my attention because of the synopsis. The idea of an experiment gone wrong really got my attention. This was my first book by Christine Feehan and it did not disappoint. The scenes were both hot, steamy and sexy . This novel is definitely for adults. The main characters who are Lily and Ryland, both have psychic powers, one natural born, the other enhanced. Lily could not understand why the sexaul attraction between her and Ryland is so strong. In short she does not believe in instant love because she was brought up to analyse everything logically. The plot of the story does not only centre in there love story but also on how can Lily help the other military men adapt in the world with their psychic powers. Also, a twist in the events would let Lily have a personal mission which she could not say no to.
I would not recommend this to people who are sensitive with sex. In my opinion if your open to something sexy and hot then this book would be for you. I had fun reading this book which is why I am giving a 4.5 hearts rating. Also, Christine Feehan for me became another author to look for in the bookstore when I am craving for a paranormal romance.
